Curriculum Impact

The impact of our curriculum extends far beyond examination outcomes.

Students leave A Level Law with a sophisticated understanding of legal principles, the operation of the legal system and the relationship between law, morality, rights and justice. They become confident critical thinkers who are able to analyse complex issues, evaluate competing perspectives and communicate their ideas with clarity and authority.

Through their study of Human Rights and Nature of Law, students develop a deeper appreciation of human dignity, social responsibility and the importance of justice within society. They learn to challenge assumptions, engage with difficult questions and make informed judgements supported by evidence.

Our students emerge as articulate, resilient and intellectually curious young people who possess highly transferable skills in analysis, evaluation, research, communication and problem solving. They are well prepared for higher education, apprenticeships and a wide range of careers, particularly within law, public service and related professions.

The success of our enrichment programme, including winning the University of Chichester Bar Mock Trial Competition in 2026, demonstrates students’ ability to apply their legal knowledge beyond the classroom and perform with confidence in authentic legal settings.

Ultimately, students leave our curriculum with far more than an A Level qualification. They leave with the knowledge to understand the world around them, the confidence to challenge injustice and the skills to make a meaningful contribution to society. They recognise the law not merely as a set of rules, but as a powerful force capable of protecting rights, shaping communities and transforming lives.
