KS5

Geography at A level

Geography is a dynamic and fascinating subject that explores a range of real-life issues, focusing on the environment and its processes, the awareness of cultural diversity and geographical variations relevant to business and good citizenship. A level Geography at Oaklands is very popular with 3 classes across Year 12 and 13.

Students who take Geography will be involved in fieldwork. Locations visited include Iceland, Sicily, London, Aberystwyth, Dorset and Chichester. The current residential trip is to Brenscombe Outdoor Centre near Corfe Castle in Dorset – more information can be read here.
