Project Funding

Academic Year 2025-2026

Over the last calendar year, the OFPA has funded several new projects, including supporting Oaklands to become an accredited Forest School. This includes undertaking courses such as bushcraft and trailblazing. These courses will enable the school to provide a versatile outdoor learning experience.

We provided vital fieldwork equipment for the Geography Department, including ranging poles, tape measures, clipboards, clinometers, callipers, stopwatches and rain gauges. The photos here show current Y10 students utilising the equipment on a recent trip to Selsey beach.

We funded new Kenwood Mixers for the Food Technology Department. This supports students in gaining practical skills and achieving extra coursework marks for the use of the equipment.

Books for all New Year 7 Students as they start their Oaklands journey. This is the novel “October, October” by Katya Balen, selected by the English department.

At the World Book Day Fayre, the OFPA paid for the Author, Seth Burkett, to visit and for new books for students from low-income families to take home.

We have purchased new headphones for the Music Department classrooms.

Sixth Form visit to Oxford University

£1000 was paid to the Hardship Fund which supports families who may struggle with the cost of school equipment, uniform, educational trips, and bus passes for students to get to school.
