A food workshop with the Author of The Road to Karachi during cultural week, which gave students a broader knowledge of different cultures and food, whilst subsequently donating to her charity’s cause – providing water pumps in India.

We funded a visit from a Holocaust speaker who shared his family’s experience of WWII, enhancing the History curriculum.

We paid for Handball Goals for the PE department.

We provided three Hegner scroll saws to the Design & Technology department, which have significantly improved the quality and efficiency of work students are able to produce. They are also significantly more usable to students who may struggle with motor skills.

We have funded Arduino software and components for use in STEM. Using his coding skills and with support from the science department, one student built a Hoffman Voltameter, which allowed him to make fuels, determine energy cost, and the practicality of using solar power for his Y8 project. He is hoping to achieve a gold-level CREST award for this work.

We purchased a portable Bluetooth speaker for the Music Department, which allows them to rehearse for shows in different areas of the school site.

£1000 was paid to the Hardship Fund, which supports families who may struggle with the cost of school equipment, uniform, educational trips, and bus passes for students to get to school.

We also support students as they begin college, through funding for extracurricular courses like First Aid and Leadership. For the last 2 years, the OFPA has paid for the Sixth Form visit to Oxford University.
