Oaklands Catholic School Celebrates Outstanding A Level Results
Another gold medal performance is today being celebrated by A Level students and staff at Oaklands Catholic School, this includes the highest number of students gaining places at university.
This year’s results reflect the dedication of students and staff, with over 70 % of students achieving A*-C grades. Most students have gained places at top universities, including Durham, Exeter, Cardiff and UCL, others have secured places on apprenticeships and training programmes. A significant number of students achieved A or A* across all grades. The overall grade profile of the school increased across all subjects.
Headteacher Mr Matthew Quinn said:
“We are incredibly proud of our students. This is a comprehensive intake, which makes the outcome even ore special. The results are a testament to their resilience, commitment, and the exceptional support from our staff. Whether our students are heading to university, apprenticeships, or employment, we know they are well-prepared for the next chapter, in my last year as Head I could not wish for more.”
The school continues to justify its strong reputation at Advanced Level. Over the last 3 years Oaklands Sixth Form numbers have increased significantly. A large number of students will go on to study medicine, engineering and other science related subjects, recognising the strength of the school in this area.
Director of Sixth Form Dave Godwin added:
“This year’s outcomes reflect the commitment, perseverance, and talent of a cohort who have worked incredibly hard through a period of uncertainty and change. Their achievements are not only a celebration of academic excellence but also of personal growth and resilience. We are proud of every student”.
