Mr Quinn Said, “Oaklands school is a mixed ability Comprehensive school, so these are a very pleasing set of results. I am delighted that so many students of all abilities, have achieved their full potential. The approach of the school over a number of years has been to ensure that all pupils take a broad and balanced curriculum with GCSE exams being at the core of this.”

There were many exceptional performances with a significant number of students achieving the top grades of 7,8 and 9 across all subjects.

These excellent results demonstrate the effectiveness of high quality teaching coupled with strong management systems and team work.

Mr Quinn went on to say, “This outstanding set of results is a product of the commitment of hard working students, teachers and support staff alike. At Oaklands we believe that the influence of our caring environment, along with wonderful parental support, are significant factors in student success. All students at every level of ability, from all backgrounds, have worked hard to achieve at or above their own personal targets and as a result they are now able to move on with confidence to the next step, be that in formal education at our Sixth Form or further education college or in employment with training”.
